When there's no recent result for an exercise, the app still needs to be able to propose something. That's what an estimation does â calculated automatically, or set manually by the coach.
If an athlete has no recent result for a given exercise â the last result is older than 6 months, or none has ever been logged â the app automatically calculates an estimation: how much load or how many reps this athlete likely can handle.
Even if an athlete has never done an exercise before, the app still produces an estimation. It's derived from the results the athlete does have recently on other, related exercises, supplemented with the rest of the athlete profile (such as level, gender, and body data). Alongside this you also see:
As a coach you can set your own estimation that overrides the automatic one. This is useful because:
Use this, for example, when as a coach your experience gives you a better read on what's achievable than what the algorithm can (yet) infer â for instance with a new exercise in the library, or right after an injury or break.
Hasn't an athlete trained in a while, or has something structural changed? Then you can set a reset date on the athlete profile, Estimations tab â results from before that date no longer count. See Athletes â Resetting estimations.
